EPF 8% Means Paying More Income Tax ( For High Income Group )

Assume monthly basic salary is RM4000.

- If your monthly EPF contribution is 11% (RM440), taxable income = RM3560, income tax payable = RM77.

- If your monthly EPF contribution is 8% (RM320), taxable income = RM3680, income tax payable = RM109.

Conclusion : If you choose to
contribute 8%, you will end up paying more income tax to the government, which will make the government richer. Finance Minister Najib said this measure is meant to boost up the slow-down market, but from this example wee see that the money does not go into the market. Instead the money goes direct into the government's pocket through the greater amount of income tax that we will have to pay. Obviously this measure does not help the market at all. Do we still want this kind of government that doesn't have the best interest of the people in mind?

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS, both of us definitely gonna stick to 11% EPF deduction. Mana bleh nak bg government telan duit kami lagi. Arghhh, mmg tak boleh. Strictly cannot. Banyak cantik, dh tekan kite byk2 kat income tax, pastu leh plak nk suruh kite kurang kan EPF contribution, kononnye nak rangsang ekonomi negara. Padahal, macam lah kite tak tau ape agenda sebenar korg yang nk amik duit private sector employees, utk kegunaan government kan. Hissshhhhhhhhhhh! I just don't agree. Nasib private sector employees ni bijak2 belaka, ade otak, pk panjang and masa dpn. We already know all the taktik kotor that you, the gov. play around with.

Actually, before people came out with this calculation pun, mmg aku dan dia still nak 11% for EPF. Mmg no one can change our decision. Keputusan dah muktamad! :P. Now, we are waiting for the new form from EPF (katanya early december baru form tu kuar), then kitorg akan isi and submit to our HR office. And our HR will submit it to EPF on our behalf. Thanks a bunch to our Human Resource! :-)
